Facades | cleaning

Quality cleaning of stone coatings and the optimal method for its implementation depends on several factors.

1. Stone type: The type of the stone is really important /limestone, mushelcalc, sandstone, marble, etc./, its hardness, porosity, and type of processing /sanded, rough, etc./
2. Pollution type: The type of the pollution should be specified and also to what extent it has penetrated into the surface of the stone. Mostly these are flakes of soot from the passing-by cars and industry, rust and mud from streets, borders, and air-conditioners, spots from absorbed moisture by the stone, white spots from eduction of salts and sulphates, mould and mosses, as well as the results from the city subculture – graffiti.
3. Accessibility and location: The possibilities for accessibility to the areas for cleaning are to be specified. The methods we apply are: falsework work, hydraulic platforms and lifting devices, towers, as well as of course rope work.

Facades | protection

After the facade has been cleaned through sand blasting or a thermal-chemical method, the mud is eliminated in depth and the surface is absolutely clean. When the time passes, dust, flakes of soot from the cars and other pollutions accumulate as well as in snow and rain, thus the mud penetrating inside the stone and making it necessary for a second abrader cleaning. the effect can easily be avoided with the laying of a suitable impregnant that prevents the stone from absorption of pollutions and at the same time enables the surface to “breathe”. The rain washes away a part of the subsequently accumulated mud thus making the period between the two cleanings longer that do no longer need abrader blasting, but hydro or vapour blasting. we offer protection with hydro and butter repulsive emulsions and anti-graffiti systems of leading international producers.

Antigraffiti | cleaning

Some people consider graffiti art, others – plague, and for Q & Clean the prevention and their elimination from inappropriate places – it is daily round. It is better to take measures before they emerge, but if they have emerged, an optimal alternative should be found for them to be cleaned. The numerous preparations for the elimination of graffiti are the result of a long fight with the city subculture, but they are often weak in eliminating the marks of the paint that penetrated into the material pores. Where the other methods have failed, the “heavy artillery” comes – the sand blasting. It is important to bear in mind the fact that facades made of sanded and polished stone especially if it is mild it is possible for the surface to be “matted” with sand blasting. This fact has once again proved the importance of the preliminary laid anti-graffiti protection system.

Antigraffiti | protection

In order to succeed in the fight with the graffiti, the protection is an important factor. Q & Clean offers alternative for anti-graffiti systems for each surface that is impeded by the graffiti emerge. Anti-graffiti not only stop the penetration of the paint into the depth, but also provoke flowing down of the paint when spraying, which discourages the “artist” and they are looking for an appropriate “canvas”. The on time laying of the coating of an appropriate anti-graffiti system saves money for the graffiti elimination through sand blasting, and this can easily be done through an ordinary hydro blasting or preparations and often with a sponge and water. Anti-graffiti systems can be divided into: constant – these endure numerously on cleaning without the necessity for a second laying; and temporary – they require second laying after each cleaning. Anti-graffiti are hydro and butter repulsive, but they make it possible for the vapour to be separated from the surface from inside and as a result the material is preserved - it does not crack by the freezing cycle and frosting, and no dark spots appear because of held moisture.

The protected materials are in service longer and the support is easier and is done more rarely. Moisture is the main enemy for the reinforced-concrete constructions – the concrete cracks and crumbles away under the influence of the freezing of the capillary sucked water, and the reinforced steel – gets corrosive. The mineral floorings like a sanded concrete produce wet spots, cracks and begin to crumble, and sometimes it is not possible to stop their exploitation to renovate the flooring. Because of this reason it is possible to take the needed measures on time.
